Commissioning & Servicing HVAC Engineer

JOB TITLE:                   Commissioning & Servicing HVAC Engineer

LOCATION:                 Dublin (base) with travel within the island of Ireland

CONTRACT TYPE:       Permanent Full-Time

REPORTING TO:          Commercial & Industrial Director

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Service Engineer to oversee the installation, servicing and maintenance of our products and systems.  This person will be responsible for ensuring that all new equipment is fitted properly, functions at optimum capacity and investigates any faults that appear, diagnosing these issues and finding solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the design team & supply chain to ensure correct operation of the plant on site & successful handover.
  • Ensure that the Health & Safety, Environmental & Quality procedures are followed & adequate records maintained.
  • Liaise with the project manager & prepare the project close out report.
  • Review & ensure that site-based personnel have the correct training & valid certification for the project.
  • Working with other engineers or site staff to carry out tests and repairs.
  • Ensuring safe working conditions for everyone involved in the testing and assessment of site machinery and equipment.
  • Providing training for system testing and evaluation, where appropriate.
  • Travelling to different client sites for specified periods of time to oversee commissioning projects.

 The ideal Candidate will possess the following:                    

  • 3 years+ experience in a similar role.
  • Technical expertise
  • Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning FETAC Level 6 would be a distinct advantage
  • Broad technical knowledge of AC / VRF and Fan Coil Systems, Chillers & Air Handling Units, Heat Pumps and Multi-Function Heat Pumps.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Full clean driving licence.
