CALPEX PIPE

Calpex is a pre-insulated, flexible piping system suitable to transport high & low temperature water from a heat source underground losing minimal heat. Calpex can be used in District Heating, Central Heating & Sanitary applications. It will carry water from Gas/Oil Boilers, Wood Pellets Boilers, Heatpumps, Hot Water Cylinders and many other applications.
Calpex can withstand 95ºC at 6 bar pressure for its Heating range and 95ºC at 10 bar pressure for its sanitary range.
It is available in any cut length from our de-coiling operation at our Naas Road Depot in Dublin. This highly designed pre-insulated district heating pipe is available in single runs (Uno ¾” – 6”), twin runs (Duo ¾” – 2”) & quadruple runs (Quadriga ¾” – 1 ¼”).
Our Calpex consists of a high-density cross linked polyethylene (HDPE) PEX-a pipe with an EVOH oxygen barrier.
The PEX pipe is insulated with CFC-Free, Cyclopentan-Blown Polyurethane foam allowing a 97% closed cell structure. This closed cell structure therefore will not allow water to ingress through the insulation in the event of damage to the outer protective cover unlike some similar products on the market.
The outer corrugated jacket is made from low density seamless polyethylene (LDPE) surrounding the insulation to protect it from moisture and abrasion.
